Roland joined Maguire Associates in 2007. He brings a wide variety of skills and experience in survey research and statistical analysis and in making results interpretable. His primary focus is the management of research projects, from methodology and instrument design to reporting. Roland has played an important role in our student retention services and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of College Student Retention. He also serves as the technology leader on the research team, seeking out ways to use statistical and other types of software to promote efficiency and innovation. Roland has worked as a statistician/researcher at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has conducted evaluations for other educational programs as well as investigating topics in psychology, social work, and criminal law as a freelance statistician. He has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a M.Ed. in Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from Boston College. Since joining our firm, Roland has conducted market research for South Texas College of Law, The University System of Georgia, Sewanee: The University of the South, The University of New Mexico, Cogswell Polytechnical College, Hastings College, Illinois Institute of Technology, Fordham University, Norwich University, and Bates College.
